When I first published my list of the best appliance repair companies in Atlanta in 2025, my goal was to help other Metro Atlanta homeowners sort through the many companies competing for their business.
A lot can change in a year.
Service-call fees increase, companies collect new reviews, warranties and policies change, and businesses that didn’t stand out before can build much stronger reputations. So for 2026, I went back through my original list and updated the rankings rather than simply changing the year in the title.
Two companies remain in the same positions: Appliance EMT is still #1, and Mr. Appliance of Greater Atlanta remains #2.
After those two, the list changes considerably.
For this update, I compared current Google ratings, Angi and Better Business Bureau information where available, diagnostic and service fees, warranties, appliance and brand coverage, Metro Atlanta service areas, scheduling options, pricing transparency, and local recommendations.
What’s Changed Since My Original List?
One of the biggest changes I found was the cost of getting a technician to your home.
Appliance EMT’s residential diagnostic/service fee has increased from $97 to $117. Mr. Appliance of Greater Atlanta currently charges $149 on weekdays and $160 on weekends, while Comfort Appliance Repair’s residential diagnostic fee has increased from $79 to $89.95.
Some local companies remain significantly less expensive for the initial visit. Noble BHS currently lists a $55 basic service fee, while Atlanta City Appliance Repair and Appliance Repair Quality each list a $65 standard residential fee.
That doesn’t mean the company with the cheapest service call is automatically the best choice. Appliance brand expertise, warranty coverage, reputation, availability, and the likelihood of getting the diagnosis right all matter.
But it does mean you should confirm the current diagnostic fee before scheduling.
I also recommend asking whether that fee is waived, credited, or applied toward the repair if you decide to proceed.

Criteria I Used to Make My Top 10 List of Atlanta Appliance Repair Services
Rather than rely on one rating or review website, or just individual assessments, I looked at several signals.
I considered:
- Google ratings
- Customer review history
- Angi and BBB information where available
- Diagnostic and service-call fees
- Warranty coverage
- Pricing transparency
- Appliance and brand expertise
- Premium appliance experience
- Metro Atlanta service coverage
- Same-day or next-day availability

Google ratings are useful, but they aren’t the entire story. A company can have a great rating while charging significantly more than competitors, offering a shorter warranty, or having less experience with a particular appliance brand.
The Google ratings below were checked as part of this September 2026 update and may change as new reviews are posted.

1. Appliance EMT — Best Overall Appliance Repair Company in Atlanta

Appliance EMT remains my #1 appliance repair company in Atlanta for 2026.
It was my top choice in the original version of this guide, and after revisiting the companies for this update, I still think it offers the strongest overall combination of appliance expertise, Metro Atlanta coverage, scheduling availability, premium-brand experience, and customer reputation.
Appliance EMT repairs refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, ranges, dishwashers, freezers, ice makers, microwaves, and other major household appliances.
The company also works on premium and built-in brands including Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, JennAir, Bosch, KitchenAid, and others.
Atlanta Residents Are Recommending Appliance EMT Too
One of the more interesting things I found while updating this article was a recent discussion in the Atlanta subreddit.
In an r/Atlanta discussion asking for appliance repair company recommendations, Appliance EMT appears as the first recommendation when the thread is sorted by Reddit’s “Best” comments.
Other commenters also recommended the company. One commenter who identified himself as a handyman said Appliance EMT is the company he recommends when a job requires an appliance technician, while another commenter described using the company for several different appliance repairs over the years.
I wouldn’t rank a company #1 because of one Reddit discussion, but independent local recommendations are useful when they support the other things I’m seeing.
What Changed for 2026
The biggest change is the service fee.
Appliance EMT’s residential diagnostic/service fee is now $117, up from the $97 fee listed in the previous version of this article. The fee is applied toward the approved repair.
That makes Appliance EMT more expensive to diagnose than several competitors on this list. For premium and built-in appliances, however, I would put more weight on experience with the appliance and brand than on saving a relatively small amount on the initial service call.
Pros: Excellent Google rating, same-day or next-day service when available, broad appliance coverage, premium-brand experience, and extensive Metro Atlanta coverage.
Cons: The $117 service fee is higher than several local competitors.

2. Mr. Appliance of Greater Atlanta — Best National Appliance Repair Company

Diagnostic fee: $149 weekday / $160 weekend
Mr. Appliance of Greater Atlanta keeps the #2 position.
Unlike most of the independent companies on this list, Mr. Appliance operates as part of a national franchise system. That gives customers a more standardized repair process and one of the stronger published warranties in this comparison.
Mr. Appliance currently advertises a one-year parts-and-labor warranty through the Neighborly Done Right Promise and emphasizes upfront pricing before repair work begins.
The company services refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, and other major household appliances throughout Greater Atlanta.
Its biggest drawback is the diagnostic fee. At $149 on weekdays and $160 on weekends, it is one of the most expensive companies on this list just to have an appliance diagnosed. An additional appliance diagnostic is currently listed at $75.
Pros: One-year warranty, established national system, broad appliance coverage, standardized procedures, and upfront repair pricing.
Cons: One of the highest diagnostic fees in this comparison.

3. Atlanta City Appliance Repair — Best Combination of Reputation and Service Fee

Service Call Fee: $65 residential / $85 high-end or commercial
Atlanta City Appliance Repair is one of the biggest movers in my 2026 rankings.
Its standard residential service call is $65 and includes the trip, diagnosis, and repair estimate. If the company completes the repair, the standard fee can be waived or applied toward the work.
High-end and commercial appliances generally have an $85 diagnostic fee. Certain built-in double ovens and stacked laundry systems can cost more to diagnose when two technicians are required.
Atlanta City also repairs premium brands including Sub-Zero, Viking, Dacor, Miele, Thermador, and Wolf.
The company received an additional boost from the same r/Atlanta discussion mentioned above. The person who originally asked for recommendations later updated the thread to say they ultimately hired Atlanta City Appliance Repair. According to the update, the technician came out on a Saturday within a few hours and repaired the refrigerator.
That combination of competitive pricing, strong reviews, premium-brand capabilities, and positive local feedback moves Atlanta City into my #3 position.
Pros: Competitive service fee, transparent pricing, premium-brand expertise, and strong local reputation.
Cons: High-end appliances and jobs requiring two technicians can have higher diagnostic charges.

Appliance Tech Pros ranks #4 because of its experience with premium kitchen appliances and built-in refrigeration.
The company services brands including Sub-Zero, Miele, GE Monogram, Thermador, Bosch, Wolf, JennAir, Viking, Electrolux, KitchenAid, LG, Samsung, and other major manufacturers.
That specialized experience makes Appliance Tech Pros particularly interesting if you’re dealing with an expensive built-in refrigerator.
The company also advertises a one-year parts-and-labor warranty for qualifying appliance repair work.
The one thing I’d like to see made clearer is the standard diagnostic price. I couldn’t find one universal residential diagnostic charge clearly published online, so I recommend asking for that amount before scheduling.
Pros: Excellent Google rating, premium-brand expertise, built-in refrigeration experience, and one-year warranty.
Cons: Diagnostic pricing is less transparent than several competitors.

It also advertises same-day and next-day appointments in many service areas and says technicians carry commonly needed replacement parts to improve the chances of completing repairs during the first visit.
Its $55 basic service fee is particularly attractive for homeowners who want to keep the initial cost of getting a diagnosis down.
Pros: Excellent Google rating, $55 published service fee, straightforward estimates, and fast scheduling in many areas.

The company lists a $65 residential service charge and $85 commercial charge. If you hire Appliance Repair Quality to complete the repair, the separate service charge is removed and you pay for the repair itself.
Its service territory includes Atlanta, Alpharetta, Buckhead, Brookhaven, Buford, Cumming, Duluth, Dunwoody, Johns Creek, Lawrenceville, Marietta, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Suwanee, Tucker, and other nearby communities.
The company services refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, ovens, dishwashers, microwaves, cooktops, ice machines, and other major appliances.
Pros: Competitive $65 residential fee, transparent pricing policy, and broad North Metro Atlanta coverage.

M&M Appliance Repair is a new addition to my 2026 top 10.
Its long history of third-party customer reviews is the main reason it earned a spot. M&M has accumulated hundreds of reviews through Angi/HomeAdvisor and also currently holds an A+ BBB rating, although it is not BBB Accredited.
The company handles refrigerator, washer, dryer, oven, and other major appliance repair work and offers emergency service.
I couldn’t confidently verify the current Google Business Profile rating for the exact M&M Appliance Repair company included here because multiple businesses with similar names appear in search results.
Rather than publish a Google score that may belong to another company, I’m leaving it unlisted.
I also couldn’t find a clearly published current diagnostic fee, however, most forums and reviews mention a fee of $95 so that’s another question worth asking before scheduling.
Pros: Long third-party review history, A+ BBB rating, emergency service, and established appliance repair experience.
Cons: Current Google rating and standard diagnostic fee are not clearly verifiable.

The Appliance Gals remains in my top 10 for 2026.
The company identifies itself as a Black woman-owned appliance repair, service, and installation business and says it has served Metro Atlanta since 2011.
Its technicians include NASTeC- and EPA-certified professionals.
The Appliance Gals services washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, ovens, cooktops, dishwashers, microwaves, water heaters, garbage disposals, ice makers, and other household equipment.
Its biggest weakness in this comparison is pricing transparency. I couldn’t find one clearly published standard residential diagnostic price on their website. However, most people mention having to pay a $100 service and diagnostic fee.
Pros: Strong Google rating, certified technicians, broad appliance coverage, and established Metro Atlanta presence.
Cons: Standard diagnostic pricing isn’t clearly published.

Absolute Appliance Repair rounds out my updated top 10.
The Alpharetta-based company serves a large part of North Metro Atlanta, including Alpharetta, Canton, Cumming, Dunwoody, East Cobb, Johns Creek, Marietta, Milton, Norcross, Peachtree Corners, Roswell, Sandy Springs, and Woodstock.
Its brand coverage is extensive and includes Bosch, Dacor, Electrolux, Gaggenau, GE, JennAir, KitchenAid, LG, Maytag, Monogram, Samsung, Sub-Zero, Thermador, Viking, Whirlpool, and many others.
The important thing to know about Absolute’s pricing is that there isn’t one universal diagnostic charge.
The service fee ranges from approximately $75 to $150 depending on your location and appliance brand.
Because that’s a fairly wide range, I recommend giving the company your ZIP code and exact appliance brand when calling and confirming the service fee before making the appointment.
Pros: Strong North Atlanta coverage, broad brand experience, and premium-appliance capabilities.

Which Atlanta Appliance Repair Company Should You Choose?
There isn’t one company that will automatically be the best fit for every repair.
For the strongest overall combination of appliance expertise, premium-brand capabilities, coverage, customer reputation, and local recommendations, Appliance EMT remains my first choice.
If warranty length is especially important, Mr. Appliance and Appliance Tech Pros deserve a closer look.
If you’re trying to minimize the initial diagnostic expense, Noble BHS at $55, Atlanta City Appliance Repair at $65, and Appliance Repair Quality at $65 currently have some of the most competitive published residential fees on this list.
And if you’re dealing with an expensive Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Viking, Miele, Monogram, or another premium appliance, I’d prioritize experience with that specific brand over saving a few dollars on the service call.
Questions to Ask Before Scheduling
Before allowing a company to dispatch a technician, ask:
- What is the diagnostic or service-call fee for my appliance and ZIP code?
- Is the diagnostic fee waived or applied toward the repair?
- Does the technician regularly repair my appliance brand?
- What warranty covers the parts and labor?
- Will I receive the complete repair price before approving the work?
I’d also spend a few minutes reading the company’s newest Google reviews rather than looking only at the overall star rating.
Recent reviews can tell you more about current scheduling, communication, workmanship, and customer service than reviews from several years ago.
Final Thoughts
Updating my original Atlanta appliance repair rankings for 2026 changed much of the list, but not the top two.
Appliance EMT remains #1, Mr. Appliance of Greater Atlanta remains #2, and Atlanta City Appliance Repair moves into the #3 position.
The biggest practical change I found this year is pricing. Several companies have increased their diagnostic fees, and service-call costs now vary significantly across Metro Atlanta.
That makes it even more important to confirm the fee before scheduling, especially if you have a premium appliance or live farther from a company’s primary service area.
Google ratings, Angi reviews, BBB information, Reddit recommendations, and service fees can all help narrow down your options, but none of those things should be considered alone.
The best choice is the company that combines a strong current reputation with experience repairing your particular appliance, transparent pricing, reasonable warranty coverage, and a technician you feel comfortable authorizing to do the work.
